I'm Evelyn Purcell, managing director of Summer Stage, and a drama teacher and actor from Naas, Co. Kildare. After graduating with a BA in Drama and English from Trinity College Dublin in 2011, I trained in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting, gaining an MA. I have been teaching drama for thirteen years at various stage schools in Ireland and the UK. I also regularly facilitate dance and drama workshops for groups with special needs. Now, I run Next Stage Theatre School in Naas, Moone and Dunboyne during term time! As an actor, I have performed extensively in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium and Dubai. I LOVE teaching at Summer Stage because every day is different and it's great to see the children enjoying themselves! I enjoy meeting all the campers and their parents, and I'm always on the end of the phone for leaders and parents alike!

Hi, I'm Mairead Gillen! I began training at the age of 4 with the Billy Barry Stage School, before moving to the Helen Jordan Stage School until the age of 18. Over the years I was involved in numerous productions including variety shows at the Olympia Theatre and seasonal performances. No stranger to the stage, I started Irish Dancing at the age of 4 at my mother's dance school, Inis Ealga, and I danced on the Late Late Toy show at age 9! I currently run two nightly traditional Irish dance shows in Dublin. In terms of teaching, I teach Irish Dancing weekly at my mother's dance school. This will be my seventh year teaching at Summer Stage!
